In Between (Journey to Seagull Mountain Resort)
Catching the end days of the summer, It was
unexpected and a very first time ever for the company to go out for adventure
to celebrate company’s anniversary. HABSCo from Davao City decided to go “in
between” road, what? Actually, I am referring to the road connecting Davao City
to the Province of Bukidnon and Cagayan. Yes, the BuDa or the Baguio of the
South.
In our main itinerary, it was just only going to
Seagull Mountain Resort to experience the actual of our natural waterfalls.
Note, all of these are “first time”. So before that, we had a side trip to Davao City’s orchid garden (there are many orchid garden in Davao City) so we
take pictures from the known called the Yuhico Orchid Garden located in Greenhills
Subd. Catalunan Pequeno, Davao City. There is an entrance fee of P30 to visit
but they are not open for events.
It was 5-6 hectare farm of native
and hybrid orchids but unfortunately it’s too far to go for walk and we need to catch up our
check-in time in Seagull Mt. Resort.
Hello Agila and her eaglet! The Philippine Eagle
Monument rather; maybe that monument is the end line of Davao City’s land area
and was almost near because we felt already the cool breeze.

See the signage? We're in Seagull Mountain Resort!
Seagull Mountain Resort is one of many popular
tourist destinations in Davao City located in Bukidnon-Davao National Highway
that’s what I called “in between”. Which is just 2 hours ride using our rented
van from Davao City. To enjoy the moment on the resort we stayed overnight, so
let’s get having fun!
Who loves unexpected trekking?

A walk to waterfalls (there are too many signage and we thought the waterfalls was just right there, OH MY!)
Morning walk to the cross

It’s not over fellas! On the following day to enjoy
our morning we did not take a heavy breakfast inside the resort in order to
catch up the fresh vegetables, herbs and berries in Bemwa Farm located also in
BuDa Highway, a little far from Seagull Mt. Resort. No entrance fee.

The Bemwa Farm |
Did you hear that? our tummies calling for attention right now so our
driver Kuya Cris suggested having a breakfast on Padre Ninno’s Gourmet (same
highway mentioned) founded by Fr. Frances Uras, S.B.D of Don Bosco Living Hope
Center. This gourmet house is not like a big restaurant or even Penong’s in
Davao City, It was built for his operations and programs for the lumad children
and youth.

Our breakfast was with their special menu -- the italian pizza, spaghetti(not in photo), blended coffee and pasion fruit juice (not in photo) |
with the founder |
Another side trip after breakfast, we don’t know
actually what this place is but it is also a part of BuDa highway.

The Norfolk (from the signage source) |
Back to the resort and the last day that we need to
check-out, thus, our last picture taking in the resort.
